Last night at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre Toronto’s favorite rapper, Drake, performed the final song on his setlist donned in a black & gold Toronto Raptors jersey.

The hyped up crowd at OVO Fest didn’t even seem to notice the wardrobe change at first, but midway through the rap ‘Back to Back’ it dawned upon crowd-goers that Drake, the self-proclaimed ‘global ambassador’ for the Toronto Raptors, was in fact debuting an entirely new Raptors jersey.
Within minutes the hashtags #DrakeUni and #Black&Gold were trending on Twitter, and on Tuesday the Raptors organization released pictures of their new Drake-inspired uniform.
The two-toned uni, which will only be worn at Raptors home games, features white and gold lettering on the jersey, along with a gold trim on both the jersey & shorts. Additionally, a golden image of Wheelchair Jimmy, Drake’s well-known character from the hit show Degrassi, is featured on the front of the jersey; an homage to the rough bottom that Drake started out on.
